Ex-Lip BIzkit guitarist Wes Borland joins Marilyn Manson! I hope he plays on the next album. I was quite a Manson fan a few years ago, but i stopped listening after Holywood. Maybe its time to catch up and download the albums after that. hehe.

I'm finally done with a watercolor (and ink) piece for an upcoming exhibit by Magasining Visual Art Agency next month. It has been years since I last touched watercolor and more than a decade since i actually tried making a painting. Initially, I wanted to try out acrylic for this one but after a few tries, it ended up looking like shit. I gave watercolor another chance since that's the only medium I was more familiar with. After weeks of procrastinating and a few trials that failed miserably, I was able to get myself comfortable working with the medium again.
I've been so used to coloring my work digitally that I've forgotten how it is to use coloring materials again. Aside from the colored pencil illustration stint i did for Indios Bravos Multimedia a few months ago and a pair of hand-painted slip-ons I made for my friend early this year, I've used photoshop to color everything i did for the past 3-4 years. For this upcoming exhibit, however, I wasn't allowed to submit a digital work (basta).
After nights of supposedly "working" on my piece (which meant saying "no" to alot of nights out and ending up staring at blank piece of paper and falling asleep after), I pushed myself this week, the past two days in particular, to finish it. I've always thought that I worked best under pressure because the deadline is today. HAHA! I'm really proud of it and i hope you guys come to the exhibit (Mid July, Cubicle Gallery in Pasig, details to follow).
Fuck yeah I got that out of the way but there's alot more work coming in the next few months. Boy Elroy's 2nd album is in the works so ill be in the studio often getting drunk..I mean... recording and writing material for a September release. A few projects are also one their way. I also want to consider doing more paintings (since I spent for materials already). Also Siege Tour 2008! It's been a pretty busy year so far and looks like its bound to get busier, not that I'm complaining. I'm enjoying every second of it.

wow i havent been posting stuff here aside from gig posters for the longest time. work has been keeping me busy, along with little rakets i get here and there. im also trying to build up my illustration portfolio. blabla.
we started recording the 2nd album for boy elroy more than a month ago, it should be out sometime august this year. things are different this time around, eric's really pushing the band with the new songs and im really excited to get these songs out. its been 3 (or more?) years since we released anything.
i bought a ps2 a few months ago (yeah, ngayon lang). i never had a console game in my life and needed something to keep me from dying of boredom at home. god of war rocks. our drummer jt has been also bugging me to buy a guitar for guitar hero 3.
yeah aside from those things, there's not alot going on. i rarely go out (blame ps2) unless its really important or its a gig. or its really near my house.
